立思辰留学360介绍，佐治亚理工学院（Georgia Institute of Technology，简称Georgia Tech，也常缩写为Gatech），成立于1885年，位于美国佐治亚州首府亚特兰大市，与艾茉莉大学同处一个城市。原名为佐治亚技术学校，1948年，为了体现学校正在向发展并着重于高等科技和科学研究型大学的方向，佐治亚技术学校更名为佐治亚理工学院。与其他有着类似命名的高等学府（如麻省理工学院与加州理工学院)不同，佐治亚理工学院是一所公立大学。
